First day in Belgium

I arrived in Belgium at 8am Saturday morning yesterday. I was completely confused on time because it felt like it was only 11:30 at night (california time). I took a cab to my hostel (sleep well hostel) with four other people from my program. We ended up hanging out in another girls room because our room wasn't ready till three. So we eventually ventured out to get food at noon. We then went to the shopping mall to pass some time. Eventually we got our room and took about a 4 hour nap because I had been awake for over 24hrs at this point.
Around 7pm I got ready to go out with the people from my program that had arrived early also. The 13 of us went to the central station and met our program coordinators. They took us around the grand square in downtown Brussels (pictured below). We also saw the famous statue of the little peeing boy. (Picture below). The statue is known for being dressed up in different outfits. We were taken to a cafe which is famous for the puppets they have hanging throughout. Our program coordinator bought everyone there drinks. Michelangelo (program coordinator) recommended me a drink since I don't know anything about Belgian beers. (The one he recommended to me is pictured below). I was surprised how good it was! And then around 11:30pm we went to a popular club in downtown called Delirium.
For the rest of this week I have orientation for my ciee program and my school.

This is the Grand Square.
